Forest Glen Crescent

The front door of the house opened on to a raised flagstone terrace. It was obscured from the street by a bordering boxwood hedge. Access to the entrance was a narrow set of stairs from the driveway. Paradoxically, in a huge space the overall feeling was cramped and small.

The new entrance has a wider landing and steps, clearly viewed from the street. The planting moves front and center. The garden also expands to take advantage of the big space of the front lawn and at the side of the house. The whole is connected with a wider pathway from the driveway that leads through a wrought iron gate to the back garden.
